Don't know your Niche?
When starting a new business or even a writing habit on LinkedIn you’ll save your sanity by doing this.
Know your niche.
On The DO Lectures Microblogging course hosted by David Hieatt last Friday David shared the importance of thinking intentionally about the first two lines of your LinkedIn post:
- Who is it for?
- What do you want them to know?
- Why is it of benefit?
Someone in the audience asked about how to decide on who it’s for.
With over 1 billion LinkedIn members who do you focus on?
If you’re a coach, consultant, mentor, knowledge worker or “silent guru” and you’re overwhelmed with options I recommend starting here…
Think about the you of 5 or 10 years ago:
- What impactful change did you experience?
- What got in your way of making that change?
- How did you overcome those obstacles?
With that insight think about how you could have helped yourself better:
- What did you really need to hear?
- What did you really need to feel?
- What help did you need to help you take action sooner?
Write about that.
Build products and services based on that.
And then see where it leads.
If you’re still having trouble then we can guide you along that process.
In the company of other likeminded wisdom workers who are asking themselves the same questions.
Check out our Vision 20/20 program.
The next cohort starts in October.
