The Infinite Game
Are you playing to win or playing to play?
Today I was talking to someone about launching their podcast.
- they’ve been sitting on this idea for a while
- they’ve done a lot of prep work
- they’re scared to launch it
- they’ve already had people tell them that they should change the name
“We’re not playing to win, we’re playing to play. And ultimately, playing is fun. Perfectionism gets in the way of fun. A more skillful goal might be to find comfort in the process. To make and put out successive works with ease.”
David Burn
In business we’re taught to play to win.
Business is war…
But, as we know, in war there are never any winners.
We’re here to keep the game going.
For ourselves.
And others.
This isn’t just about making money.
It’s about feeling called to do the work.
- express yourself authentically
- be true to the calling
- your story is someone else’s story
Can you tap into what’s inside?
Work from the inside out and you’ll find that you won’t want to stop.
The game becomes infinite.
Connecting.
And joyful.
