Thought leader or thought leaver.
Not writing to influence? Then write to leave trails.
- it’s not strategic
- you’re not trying to convert
- it IS consistent
When Hansel and Gretel wandered into the forest they left white pebbles to mark their path.
At night these pebbles were clear signs that led them home.
- you’re writings are pebbles
- they’re visible and available
- they’ll lead you home
If you’re starting a public writing habit and you’re hesitating because you don’t believe you’re qualified forget about trying to influence.
Instead build a habit of leaving your thoughts behind you to mark a trail.
This trail primarily is for you.
To make sense out loud and lead you to what you really care about.
They can also be a trail for others.
Others whose thoughts you’ve been putting to words and who now know you.
And may start to like you.
And then trust you.
Leave trails for you to find your way or for others to follow.
Sow seeds.
Let ideas grow.
Think out loud and surrender to serendipity.
What’s stopping you?
